I have an existing Clover/Chicory plot. It was established about 3 yrs ago. Last year it was doing great and just a bit of mowing to handle weeds. I am going to blame all the rain this spring for my new issue with grass invasion. So, do I spray with something like Pursuit, Glyphosate, Clethodim or 2,4-DB (butyrac)? I have no idea if these are all different or the same herbicide products, these are just what I have read about as recommended by others on line. Once you kill, do you reseed with some kind of no-till clover? I was thinking about planting John's Overseed Mix to the plot but want to also add some chicory.... Will it grow if I just broadcast? I can't really assure great soil contact if I am not breaking the ground up.... Maybe some localized raking. Oh, do I wait to seed till after the grasses die? I assume yes. Can I kill and replant now? Thanks, Bill

I want to roll my plot to firm up the seed bed before planting. I used my tractor to plow and disc a new spot last weekend. A cultipacker is pretty expensive plus worried my tractor would just chew up the loose soil too much.Tractor Supply has a 24"x48" steel roller that weighs 920# with water. They also have a poly one 18"×48" that weighs 550# with water. Wish they were 5' wide but not. I'm leaning towards the lighter poly one because my land is hilly and I will be using my UTV to roll my plot.I don't want the roller to be too heavy for the UTV to pull through the loose soil and up hill. What do you think? I have never pulled a roller before. Not sure how hard it is to pull. Thanks, Bill

I have been thinking about making a simple roller since new or used 3 point cultipackers are crazy expensive... I would pull the roller over after spreading my seed to get good soil contact. If I use a roller I can use my UTV or Lawn Tractor. Cultipacker would most likely require my bigger tractor. Do you all think a roller is as good as a cultipacker or should I splurge on the cultipacker? Thanks, Bill
