Planting Dates:

North: Apr 1- Jun 1, Aug 1-Sept 15th

Central: Mar 15- Jun 1, Aug 1-Oct 1

South: Mar 1-May 15, Sept 15-October 31

Herbicides you can use: Clethodim for grasses, 2-4db or butyrac 200 for broadleaves

 

Pros:

-High tonnage

- Highly Nutritious

- Drought tolerant

-Multi graze. When deer eat it, it will regrow

-Wet tolerant

-Can late frost seed

-GRO's most cold tolerant blend

 

Cons:

-Annual, so it typically lasts one year. This mix can reseed and last into the following season if mother nature allows but do not plant on it. Many of our clients have seen effective regrowth, but still count on it being an annual.

 

Notes:

Fertilize according to soil test. Requires 100 lbs. of potassium per ton of consumed growth
